What the bloody hell is 'spats'??

Imagine the impossible is now possible!

SPATS is the new film from me writer / Director Lee Bolton. It's a project test to see what the new software in AI is capable of - and when any idea can now be used in film without silly budgets.

The film project was this - To see if I could complete a film using the latest tec but only myself. So I have researched AI for the last 6 months, played with it slightly but just really read and watched what it could do - and how it would help me and Elerby Studios.

So I recently splashed out on the lastest software (There is a lot out there!) and it really is mindblowing what you can do - Motion capture for real performance, virtual sets, Cinematic Camera shots, background actors...anything!

That's where spats comes in. I always wanted to film a period film but there was no way I could get a budget for that - so why don't I try and get together a period film using VFX? Too long - The actual turnaround time now using AI tec for a great shot is mindblowing - someething that would of took me years to complete (and nothing near as good) is completed and signed off in day!

so imaging with the knowledge that I've been learning - that when writing a script anything is possible. But I did have a guideline:

• Make it as if I shot it using Elerby gear, Cameras and lenses

• Ensure no silly shots that we could not do for real

• Ensure the performance is real with motion capture

• Make every shot look as real as possible

So with this I wrote the short, Spats.

Spats is a love story with lots of twists and turns, It's a time travel film of love lost. And that's all you're getting.

It is looking good - and quite alarmed by the turnaround rate.

So I am looking to release the film online to show just what we can do now. AI is moving at and alarming rate (The renderer I am using is actually only a month old!)

So Imagine writers can now come to us - and make thier films come to life with images thought impossible. Image that!

Music videos where the artist can visually anywhere or anything.

But you do have to keep the human element in there - Don 't want to go all Terminator 2.

Also side note. I am not going AI crazy but It will help the company is its workflow (you can delete objects out of a scene in about a minute for example)
